STEP 3: Once the inspection is complete, we’ll review the extent of the damage with you.
Photos will be taken and shared with you. We’ll advise whether filing a claim is recommended. Our claim specialists are trained to know what adjusters from each insurance company require to approve a roof replacement. We only recommend filing a claim when we’re confident it will be approved.
STEP 4: If damage is found and filing a claim is recommended, Emerald Roofing & Remodeling Services and the homeowner will sign a Contingency Contract.
This agreement states that we will help get the insurance company to approve the full roof replacement. We will then complete the work according to, or beyond, the insurance company’s specifications for the approved amount. The homeowner is only responsible for the deductible, any upgrades, and rotten decking beyond two sheets. Any additional covered repairs are up to the homeowner to proceed with.

If not, we’ll help you file it directly. Be sure to write down your claim number so we can follow up if needed. The adjuster assigned to your claim will usually contact you within three days. When they do, set the appointment at your convenience, write down their details, and notify your claim specialist at Emerald Roofing & Remodeling Services.

Our goal is to make sure everything damaged by the storm gets covered. The insurance company will provide a loss summary either on the day of the inspection or via email, detailing what they’ve approved.

We’ll go over the paperwork together, plan the project, review dates, materials, colors, upgrades, permits, and figures. If anything is missing, we’ll help supplement the claim. We also have an in-house Xactimate specialist. (Xactimate is the software most insurance companies use to estimate damage.)
STEP 8: It’s time to build your roof.
We’ll order the necessary materials and have them delivered to your home. Our crews will arrive early and complete most jobs in a single day. Your claims specialist and project manager will oversee the entire process. If your insurance company is paying in multiple installments, we’ll handle filing the completion certificate to release the final funds.
Just call us when the additional checks arrive and we’ll be glad to pick them up. Again, the only costs you’ll be responsible for are your deductible, upgrades, and any decking beyond two sheets. If your insurance check includes a mortgage company, we can handle that too. You’ll just need to endorse the check to us. A paid-in-full receipt and warranty documents will be provided once the final payment is received.
